Midpipe install - having an issue...
Hi guys -
Trying to install a meisterschaft midpipe to replace my n55 stockk midpipe. I removed the bolts connecting the stock midpipe to the muffler and to the downpipe, but when I went to remove the x-brace the t50 torx just warped before the bolt started to come loose.... Has anyone had issues removing the brace before? Do I just need to find a heavier duty t50 socket?

Nevermind, went and bought a different brand and it worked fine. Though they were on so tight I had to use a breaker bar to get them off.

These were super super over-torqued on my car as well. Needed a 1/2" impact gun and went through 5 bits to get them off. Thank goodness for lifetime warranties on those bits!

Yea I didn't have a t50 originally so I went and bought a single from autozone. The bit warped almost immediately. I ended up going and getting one from home depot that was much better quality, but yea they were way overtorqued.
