For those with Manual Transmission, what is your favorite gear?

Even though I have a Steptronic, I think that gear 2 has the best overall coverage of power & torque. My 2nd gear has a lot of pulling power, much more than my old e46 323's 2nd gear that did not have very much low down oomph at all.

So I vote 2nd gear, be it a MT or AT.

I voted 4th - because I can kick a 330i's ass in overtaking in that gear...i've tried it. Even by the time they change down to 3rd to swoop past me, I'm long gone!!! whooohoooo

I drive a manual and I find that gear 2 and 3 are just sweet when you punch the gas pedal. 2 and 3 can really pull the 330. Not bad for a 4 doors. How about those of you with manual shift, do you concur?

3rd is my favorite, but I like 6th as well because this is my first 6 spd. 1st is my least favorite.
