Perfect Wheel Offset for Max Tire Fitment???

Obviously there are a range of options, but in your experience, what would be the perfect offset for a max tire fitment? Some qualifiers...

1-series (non-M)
Extreme Summer Tires (200TW)
Stock to .5" drop ride height
18" rims in whatever width is the best.. 8.5" F, 9.5" R guess
Track and Daily driving
No rubbing

If your proposed offset requires camber, rolling, tab modifications, thin strut tubes, etc.. please specify.

Lastly max tire fitment can include section width and height, however Nothing above 25.7" overall diameter. Front or rear.

Thanks!

Was not a fan of 245 on a 8.5" so I went to a 255 on 9"

17x9 ET42 ARC-8, 255/40 Dunlop Z2SS. Front 5mm spacer
TCK SA coilovers and Turner race camber plates at maximum negative camber
Fenders rolled and pulled slightly, fender bumper tabs pushed up
Around 1.5 finger gap

It doesn't rub in front but can catch the bumper edge in the back, that literally never happens unless you take a super steep incline sideways like a stance car. Never has rubbed on track.

In the front, is it the width or height that is going to get you in trouble?

Looking at 235/40/18 or 255/35/18. What is likely to rub an where?

25" x 10" or 25.4" x 9.3" ?
