Hi guys
The wife wants a 1 series. Budget 6-7k. Age around 2005-2007.
What in your opinions are strength's and weakness's of the engine range.
135's are not in the equation unfortunately
Cheers

I wold get either diesel engine. I've driven all the 1er engines except for the 130i model. The gas engines suck. Yeah, they do rev, but they have no torque and use a lot of fuel. I would get a 120d if I were you. Plus, if you want more power... you can always chip it.

as said above the gas engines are thirsty especially in urban areas.. though I would get a 123d instead and IF that is not enough, remaps on them showed even 280bhp with only a dpf removal.
