I've never tracked my 1er, but in my previous car I could cross the finish in 3rd gear, but found that if I shifted into 4th a little early I could squeeze out another few tenths off my time (dropping from 13.7 to 13.3 in a mostly stock LT1 camaro.)
I am no track guru, but you really shouldn't have to redline teh car every shift. Redline on my camaro was 6k, and I raised the rev limiter to 6.4k, but I got my best times shifting about 5.7k. Get a shift light and play around with shift points. Also, nice times! If that is your first time in the car you should probably drop it another few tenths with some practice. |
