Yours is mid August? Is that the earliest they could get you an allocation? Or did you push it out that far? Weren't you battling with Field's last week over getting your production number?

Yes, Comodore 64s don't ask for much  My resolution is 1024x1280.
Advevo's shots are IMO the best so far for the 135i... Can't handle anymore of BMW's Sedona red PS-enhanced launch shots...

I went to walgreens to print them out on photo paper. I need some kind of inspiration around here. It goes on my fridge. They are by far the BEST photos of the car. Advevo game me permission to whore them out whereever too. Great guy.

Advevo, tell me more about your intented setup for this car. I want to use this car for a mixture of road and track and eventually converting it into a track car. But in the mean time, what do you suggest as a set up? 245's all around? 235 front 255 rears and thicker rear bars (that is if you think the rear needs more grip)? 225s at the front? I hate understeerer on the track. Just annoys me. What would you suggest?

front rims are 7.5 J de widest tire is 225 you can mount which sits stil nicely on the rim.
The best is to mount 8.5j on front and go for 245 allround or 235 on fronts. I use my car daily so i am not going to extreme First thing i am going to do is mount eibach pro kit springs. Second is a Drexler limited slip diff. 10mm a side wider on front track. When my 215 front weared out i am going to mount 225 on org front rims. Get more camber on front like 1.5 to 2 degree that s the compromise between road and track. little toe out front. little toe in rear. Thats about it. |

Advevo, you have been awfully quite. Please give us an indepth driving perspective report back now that you have had about 1 month driving the car.

What can i say.
I am happy with the car. Engine has lots of lowdown torque. The only thing i am concerned about is the engine temps. I was doing 260km an hour with the car and the oil temps already went above 120 degrees. The outside temp was about 8 degrees. So imagine a trackday with 20 degrees outside temps. I am curios how you guys go with this car on hot trackdays with semi slicks on etc. My other car 130i 3 doors can drive all day on track Oil temp doesn t exceed above 120 degrees. the 130i has proven itself now the 135i. |

Oh oh, that is going to cause some consternation amongst the trackers.....:eyebulge:.
Apart from the temp issue, how does it compare to your experience in the 130?

Advevo, thanks for the setup advice. I will probably put 225's or 235's on the front, as I will be getting wider after market wheels.
Just curious, do you have the oil cooler in your car? That temperature is going to be a concern for someone who lives in a warm country and intend to track his car regularly (that would be me!). |

135 pulls away in low revs from the 130i. But the 130i is more agile in cornering. 135i is the better alrounder. Power fun factor goes to 135i.
My concern is oil temps with the 135i on trackdays. If the car stands out on track without any problems then i am satisfied. My car has an oil cooler. Just checked it. |

Thanks for the update Advevo, much appreciated. Not sure the answer is what we wanted to hear in terms of the overall handling/agility, but good to hear the overall verdict is in favour of the 135.
