CF kidneys on BSM, and keyhole cover

I had been undecided on cosmetic mods to the front of my BSM One. I ordered the iCarbon lip in shadowline but they convinced me to switch it to CF so I decided I'd do CF kidneys. While I was ordering the kidneys from JW Levi I saw and ordered the painted keyhole cover also.

Grill installation was a little confusing but went fine, 20mins or so. The keyhole cover is another story. It's was manufactured by Bimmian and just didn't fit. I had to extreme dremel it and finally got it on although I cracked it a little. Installation should have taken 10 mins, took me an hour and a half. I even had a horrible time getting the allen head screw to start back which had nothing to do with the cover. No way I'd recommend this mod. I'm crazy and still wouldn't try it again even knowing that I can make it work with a dremel.

Here's just a quick pic of the grills. As you can see they basically are just a more expensive matte grill unless you get up close and study them. I thought they might shift my desire for a black anodized FMIC but they did not, I still want a black FMIC.

Dangit, it would have been much faster for me to search the keyhole cover DIY. I did not install my keyhole cover correctly. I actually dremelled it and made it fit over my keyhole. It's actually a replacement for the piece that has the keyhole..lol. I guess I need to research more next time.

Please disregard my negative evaluation of the keyhole cover fitment.

Nick, I guess I was just having a stupid day..lol. Maybe if they had not called it a keyhole cover I wouldn't have brain cramped so bad. It's the keyhole removal mod, not the keyhole cover mod. And there are plenty of diy's out there....that I found after I went crazy and dremelled the thing and made it into a cover.

I'm sure I won't post anymore pics until I get my lip. The CF grills really are subtle, very similar to matte black until you get up close. My LE's are 19x8.5et43 and 19x9.5et45. With my 20mm lowering they still rub a little even after my fenders were rolled.

Thx for the compliments.

Esses, the keyhole is just removed. Looks just like the passenger side door now.

Obone, the keyhole cover is easy, basically it's a keyhole replacement piece though. Don't try to make fit it over your keyhole like I did..lol.
