BMW Club of Qld Brekky Run #8 – 12th August

BR8 travels on the best back roads of the Glasshouse region to enjoy a brekky with a view at the Famous Mapleton Tavern perched on the northern end of the Blackall Range.

The BR team has found another Mystery Rd on a route that rewards you for owning a BMW. *As always, an early start rewards you with the best driving conditions through this scenic region of SEQ.


When: Sunday 12th August

Meet: McDonalds Carpark, 126 Morayfield Rd CABOOLTURE
near Cnr Torrens Rd * from 6.15 am

Convoy must leave at 6.45 am sharp.

Brekky on the Verandah at 9am
Carol (a 30 year veteran in the kitchen) at the Famous Mapleton Tavern is opening early JUST FOR US. This means we avoid the lunchtime hordes and we are guaranteed the best tables on the deck with panoramic views of the Sunshine Coast.

The Brekky is a $20 fixed serving of all the favourites. A “healthy” option may be available depending on demand.

After Brekky You can spend time exploring the Blackall Range independantly OR join us on the leisurely & interesting return route via the original (now rarely used) “northern” road traveling through towns like Eudlo & Mooloolah all the way south to Beerwah.

I led a 1addicts run to the Sunny Coast a while ago. I can PM you with the route. Can easily be done in reverse - and that's exactly what they did anyway on their return trip. We also had a mystery road .
