0-100mph times - Vbox verified please ;-)

Did some runs with the vbox at the weekend. I'm really not happy with my start technique - I'm currently too pussy to side-step the clutch and my best 0-60 times (4.8s) prove that I'm not getting the best possible start. However, with that less-than-perfect start, I've managed so far to get down to 9.9s to 100mph. Anyone else have any Vbox times to 100mph?

0-100 time seems quite good. What does a stock 1M do it in?

Any 1/4 mile times? Vbox of Santa Pod?

I remember a Auto Zeitung test result for stock 1M, the 0-160 km/h (which should be very close to a 0-100 mph) in 9.8 sec. The other magazine test results I recall were usually at 10.0-10.2 sec. range. Clive's tuned 1M must be faster after some speed but as he said he was not with a perfect launch, loosing time there, so he ended up with a 9.9. That's how I interpret his time.

Alot of the VBox people do 60-130 and go for records on that. Might want to consider switching to that instead since I don't really see many doing 0-100.

I agree this is far more representative to measure the performance of a car because you eliminate the often hugh differences in take off.
I did f.e. a 100-200 km/h in fourth (13,2 by the way ) to compare with the data once the car will be tuned. 18/04 the car will have new software and by the end of this week the Milltek exhaust should arrive.

I was doing these runs at a VMax event at Bruntingthorpe, which does not lend itself to 60 - 130 runs as you're coming round the bottom corner around 80ish - which means you're never in a position to do a 60 - 130. Can do 0 - 100 as you can easily get to 100 and then slow for the corner from a standstill. I'm still interested in real-world 0-100mph times - as opposed to magazine "I really don't care if any part of this car breaks as I'm giving it back later" launches ;-)

Just a comparison: The new N54 single turbo did the 60-130 in 6.7.

It's the current world record for our platforms. Same car beat a 458 Italia in a 1/2 mile run.

6.73 60-130.

Same kit should work on the 1M's as well.

LOL - your first post made it sound like an unmodified car time - of course reading it again the "single turbo N54" kinda gives it away. Not a minor modification...
