Clutch squeaking?
Recently I've been hearing a squeaking noise, pretty similar to what a brake squeak sounds like. However the noise only occurs when I'm on the gas, at low RPMS, between 500-2000, then it goes away. It only happens when I'm barely touching the gas, if I give it some power, theres no squeak and it just goes. The car does this in 1st and 2nd gear, not sure of any higher as I haven't been able to hear it.
Just now on my way back from work in some nice traffic I was able to listen to it for a while haha. I managed to get it to squeak while the clutch was fully disengaged, which has me completely confused. Could it be a brake pad rubbing? My car only has 32k miles, of which I've put 7k on, clutch doesn't slip at all if I get on it so I'm stumped. This has been happening for a few thousand miles and was overlooked at my 30k inspection. Whats wrong with my car! |

it could be the throw out bearing is worn or it could be that there is metal on metal contact on the clutch pressure plate. This is assuming that it happens when you are pressing or releasing the clutch.
