Hi guys, I'm building a custom csl trunk on my car and needed some measurements please if anyone out there has a csl trunk can you please pm me and I will tell you exactly which parts of the bootlid I need measurements on. As of right now I cut a long cardboard box outline of the lines of the csl lip and have it set on the trunk, now I need the length of how much exactly does it extend out. If someone could help me that'll be great!

You are making something custom, why would you want to have the exact same thing as someone else? Do your own thing, make it similar but different!

do something great; not that what your doing isn't, but you have an opportunity to have a complete 1-off custom piece. From the looks of the rest of the car-its going to track status? Any type of aggressive build can make a larger wing look good. Take EINSER M's car for example--a work of art, but that wing would look very ricer on mine. Just my opinion, not saying the CSL style isn't great, it is-just not full custom great. |

When I have the final length that me and the boys like. I'm going to lay fiber glass over it, sand it, then fill in the rest of the holes with body filler (fiber glass leaves little holes doesn't have a complete smooth surface)

Take into consideration height as well. I personally think the iCarbon height was perfect. The space between the top of the lip, 3rd brake light and rounded was very good. The slek IMHO is rather too tall above the brake light. Look online to see what I'm talking about.
Looking forward to seeing this completed. |

Where exactly are you located at?
I am working on a few projects and one being custom body parts for the E82. (http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=869332) Maybe we can exchange ideas and tips.
