That's a generation thing though.

For some of us, it's the other way around, and when growing up, BMW were synonomous with turbo-charged 4 cyl engines.

However, I don't disagree, that the sound of the modern ones is an issue, but sadly, BMW are a European company, and EU regs are getting very strict on noise limits.
Even racing cars are being neutered in that respect let alone road cars.

I think the new interior on the M235i will be a much needed update to the E82. Fit and finish will be top notch. As for the exterior, I'm not a huge fan of the spy photos. I guess that all could change once I see it in person since thats exactly how I felt about the M135i hatch. Anyone know when the M235i will hit US showrooms? I know fellow 1'ers who are lining up to place there order for the M235i. I will wait till they hit the showroom before slapping down a deposit.
