'Popping' noise on driver side when going from a stop
Been happening for a thousand or so miles not, 2011 135i 31k miles.
Ill be at a stop, and just go all normal like, and Ill hear and kind of feel 'popping' from the driver side, like the wheel area. I did some searching and got a lot of interior glove box on passenger side noise posts, which I have too, but I know what that is. So last few things I have done to the car, if it may lead to it are: did spark plugs at 30k, had to undo the strut bar to make room to move the cover, and I did SS lines, I noticed that there is 'Styrofoam' near the axle area covered by a undertray? Doubt that is the noise. My swaybar bushings started to squeak when going over bumps, but I dont think that has anything to do with going straight from a stop? The pop noises happen, I want to say 50% of the time? Anything helps, thanks! |

The SS lines would leave me to believe it's air in a brake line/system.
From what I've read, pressure bleeding is the best option on these cars. nothing else seems to be as reliable. |

The brake pedal and visually not seeing any air bubbles leads me to believe the lines are free of air. Though, I have read that ABS needs to be 'turned on and off' to do a 'full bleed' Would it be my ABS for some reason 'popping'? Having air in my brakes in several other cars/occassions have never made a 'pop noise' the pedal just hits the floor |

Most cars aren't a 'performance' orientated caliper either.
Air in the caliper can cause one bank of pistons to hang slightly. I don't know if it's your problem, but I think it's a good place to start. |

Will check this, thanks. Will probably just bleed the driver side one since that is the side that is having the issue

I had a popping noise along with a friend who also has a 135. Both driver side and only form a stop, when turning the steering wheel. Not sure if this is your case. But anywho. It turned out to be that we hadn't tighten the steering rack properly. In my case I had just done inlets. In his, he had been dealing with it for a year since he installed down pipes. Told him about how I simply took the bolts out and re-torques. He went to do it and bam. No more popping noise form either car.
