2011 135i Halogen LCI tail lights from 2013 128i won't work
Hello,
I sold a set of perfectly functioning LCI tail lights from a 2013 128i with halogen lights to a fellow forum user who has a 2011 135i with halogen lights. He cannot seem to get the new lights to work. Could this be a footwell module problem? Does he need to code the new lights? I was under the impression this was a plug and play installation. They both worked perfectly on my 2013 128i. Thanks for the help!! |

Are there LED and non-LED versions of the LCI halogen tail lights? If I recall correctly the ones I sold have regular light bulbs I could see in the red area of the lens. Are there LEDs located in other places, that I cannot see?

I don't think they are technically different, aren't they?
Should be P&P. If you sold them to an American, they will never work as he's got xenons.

I think only Australian/Euro market 135s have xenon standard. I believe it was still an option in the North American market.
