But they *could* have slotted the 335 above the 330 in the US as well. |

What is this? I'm going to have to wait for them to put out a DSG/SMG type tranny. I love 6speeds, but I sit in traffic for 2 hours a day, and thats just not going to happen. Any ideas as to when we'll see a new tranny from BMW?

Rich It was good to talk to you yesterday. The monroof has always been 100% option on the e90. They probably just carried it over ot the coupe.

Any guesses as to when the official pricing for the 328c / 335c will be released?
Right now it looks like base msrp estimates are: 328: $34200 - $40000 range 335: $40000 - $45000 range |

Does anyone know if the coupes with all wheel drive will have an increased ride height like the current sedans do with all wheel drive? I love my '04 330xi, but I sure wish it didn't have the increased ride height.

Thanks Steved. The Z4 in those pics actually looks a little darker than the examples of Montego that we've seen in spy shots and photoshops. Do you think these accurately reflect Montego?

They do do it to a certain percentage, thus keeping your retail price constant for a long time, but you cannot hedge forever, especially when they dollar is getting weaker and weaker, so when a new model is introduced they reset the bar So your day to day fluctuations dont matter that much, but your fluctuations over a few years does a lot. And unfortunately the Dollar hasnt looked that rosy for a while.

Who wants to take bets that as soon as somebody puts the 328 on a chassis dyno, they find that it's basically just a rebadged 330 (E90 330 that is) with some engine number fudging courtesy of the BMWNA marketing department? Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. Remember the "170 hp" 323i (and 2.5L ) that did 155+ to the wheels? |

Its actually a USA 325i engine reprogrammed Now you see why the USA got the 3.0L 325i 3 Engines sharing 95% of their parts What more could a spare parts manager want ??

Remember the only real difference between USA 330i and 325i are just the intake and ECU. So 328i may have a new intake and ECU or maybe just ECU.

In 2004 you could get a 325 for $30K with an SMG. Today you need to spend $50K on a 530 for the cheapest SMG. Wierd product planning. My Z4 SMG was a hoot to drive. |

Excellent stuff!
Is the UK specific spec available yet? I cannot find anything on the bmw.co.uk site. |
