Non-AHL xenon ballast replacement
I have a 2008 128i and unfortunately water has gotten past the seal and into the headlight ballast. I have seen in other post about having to code a replacement ballast/ahl module. I am wondering if i were to just replace the ballast if it would require coding. The headlights are xenons but not adaptive. (also a Canadian car, if that matters)
I would appreciate any input, thanks. ******UPDATE******* Ordered a new ballast off ebay. Removed the wheel liner and managed to reach in and replace the ballast. All is well, no coding, plug and play. Xenon works fine. Last edited by nevetstoj; 06-09-2021 at 10:44 AM.. Reason: forgot manners |

After cleaning the ballast connectors and pouring rubbing alcohol into the ballast and blasting it with a hair dryer. levelling works but no light and only error code on dash is for low beam out.
