Headlight Washer Jet Covers E82
Hi all,
I recently purchased an M-Sport front bumper for my SE. One thing that I realised is that the M-Sport front bumper has holes for retractable headlight washer jets whilst my current SE bumper uses stationary washers (Which are too small for the M-Sport holes). I didn't receive any covers when I purchased the bumper and I planned on just covering the washer jets by buying some M-Sport covers and removing the washers completely. The issue is that they are really expensive for what they are (Approx £25-40 for one side). I was wondering if anyone knows any alternative washer caps that would work from a different model such as the E92 or F20 as they are much cheaper. I simply just need it to be at least 40mmx40mm to cover the holes where the washer jets would go. Thanks. |

Does your bumper need painted?
If so, I wouldn't bother with plugs and just have the body shop fill in the holes with fiberglass and bondo, and body match it. |

I told the body shop to cover it when painting but he “forgot”. So now I have a painted bumper but with holes in it…

I'd take it back and have it done the way you wanted. If that's not an option, maybe try a "pick'n'pull". I'm sure there are plenty of M-Sport cars over there that have been crashed. In the states its $1 for entry, and you pull the parts off of totaled cars yourself. I got a whole set of alloys for my MK4 golf for $100 with tires. Interior/exterior bits and pieces for like $1-$10 a piece. |
