semislick 245 tire on 8" rim... how bad is the idea?
Hi guys,
I`m about to switch my current staggered setup (225/255 R18) to the squared one (245 on R17). Ideally, I`d like to buy Arc-8 R17 8.5" ET40, however, a bit to pricey as for now... I`ve found a set of Kosei K4R R17 8" ET42 here in Manitoba, but, I`m a bit concerned about 8"... I`d like to order Falken RT660 245/40 R17, and I know the tires are wide... and ideally, they will require 8.5J or 9J rim to fit appropriately. Any feedback or experience from you guys? Cheers, Max |

While an 8.5" would be better, you will be fine with an 8".
Many E36 wheels are 7.5" and run 235 tires, and many people run 255 on the 8.5" wheel. You just fit in the middle there. |
