radiator fluid on serpentine belt
My 135i burst a hose and I'm in the process of replacing it. The blown hose was the radiator "ventilation line" that goes from the upper radiator hose to the overflow tank. I chose to replace the mickey mouse flange with a Rein aluminum flange while I was in there and it was a good idea, as it crumbled when I removed it.
My question is about the serpentine belt. I had a lot of radiator fluid spraying under the hood when the hose burst. Do I need to replace the serpentine belt due to the radiator fluid spraying around? It's a project that I don't really have time for, but will do it if it avoids future problems. Thanks

Thanks for the input. I replaced the serpentine belt, wiped down all the surfaces to remove most of the coolant and checked that all the pulleys and tensioners were turning smoothly. I hadn't heard of a crankseal guard before, but I'll look into that the next time I have to take apart this part of the car.
My serpentine belt had a different routing than expected but once I figured that out, it was a pretty easy install.
