So... Another Test Drive Thread....
i drove a black on red automatic 135i today, and i didn't get a very long test drive, but i got enough time to get the feeling of the beast under the hood...
Even tho it was an automatic i got a really good preview of the engine. I hate the automatic, just because Im so used to a manual transmission. The sport package steering wheel is phenomenal! the sport package seats are amazing! I love the sound of the exhaust! :headbang: Over all 5 out of 5! I love this car! Anyways thats my 2cents.

I test drove an automatic 128i today and an '07 328i (in that order). This was my first time in a BMW, I really like how the 1-series steers -- very direct and quick -- go-kart-like I assume (never been in a go-kart either). The 3-series makes for a good passenger car and I like the back seat, but definitely not as exhilarating to drive. One thing that caught me off-guard was how other people on the road were really aggressive towards me -- I think just because I was in a BMW. I saw pick-up trucks (why is it always pickups messing with me when I'm walking, cycling, etc.?) go out of their way to cut me off and not let me merge when a lane was closed. *sigh* People can be so lame.
I'm not settled on the 1 yet though, my girlfriend has a coupe and it would be nice to have 4-door to shuttle the folks around with from time to time. But that Sedona red is awfully purty and fun. Oh and my favorite little feature of the 1; I like how in the trunk, there are 2 big buttons to push, releasing each of the split rear seats. Give the seat-back a nudge from the trunk and they fall down to their place. |

Ah, I didn't notice that about the trunk yesterday when I did my test drive. That's a convenient feature! My old E36 M3 had to be released from inside.
