How much would you offer for this 135?
I've been looking for a 135 recently and came across a few "demo" cars at a dealer up in Long Beach. The one I looked at was a 135, with manual transmission, active steering, nav, park distance control, sattelite radio, premium, and sport (not M sport). List price is $46k...but it has 10,000 miles on it. So...not "new"...but technically not used as it has been a demo car.
Questions....what would you be willing to pay for this car? Or does the idea of 10,000 miles turn you off enough to not even make an offer? Any comments would be appreciated. |

i wouldnt buy it since its a demo car, people would tear that ish up. Not gonna last long since it didnt really get proper breakin. It has more mileage than my car which only has 6k and ive had it for a yr now. |

Demo's are not good value, drastically overpriced and beaten to heck and back. I would try and get one coming off lease this year, you would be able to get a really good deal from a lease broker thats looking to offload vehicles that are owned by BMWNA.

I assume it would be sold to you as CPO? This would get you a 6yr/100k warranty, which would be critical.
How does the car look? Id be concerned about the demo too, though I think a leased car would be thrashed too... why have care for a car youre going to turn in in a year or two? For a demo, Id have to see a price below $30k, with the CPO warranty, and all relevant fluids changed - oil, transmission and diff. 10k miles is a lot of demo miles, 2-5k is still high, but better... |

Also, active steering is not a popular option, and is likely the reason for it being on the lot for so long. Make sure you want that one, because (for better or worse - your decision) it will affect you on every drive.

thank you for the replies.
You echoed what I heard from a couple of other friends of mine. I'm skipping the demo and am going to pursue a new one. I appreciate the feedback! |
