beeping sound?

last couple of months, my car had been making a beeping sound every now and then. It would go beep, beep, beep three times in a row, every so often. Initially I thought it was from my iphone bluetooth connection. However, my brother drove my car for a week, and it was doing that as well. His phone was not connected tot the car via bluetooth. The car drives normally and there is no warning light on. Anyone else's car does this? Wonder if I should get it looked at.

Is it a "beep" or more of a chime like "ding"? Any warning lights?

Do you have something on the passenger seat when you hear the "beep"? Could be the weight of the object setting off the fasten seatbelt warning.

it is a beep, not a chime, beeps three times. Don't think it is seat belt off warning, but will pay attention to that. No warning light either.

That certainly isn't a seatbelt warning, since like you said, is a chime and warning lights flash everywhere.

Where is the sound coming from?

Coming from the Speakers, that's why I thought it is from the mobile phone. May be it is something to do with that.

I get a long beep on low battery through my speakers when my BlackBerry is on BT. That's just the BlackBerry low battery sound.

Perhaps its your phone on low batt and that's its default sound?

No, the phone is not low on battery. It doesn't really bother me, just wondering if anyone else gets that beeping noise. It happens may be once every couple of trips that I make.

You haven't got the hourly chime turned on? Check your watch (or the clock) next time...

Hmm, plausible. Didn't know there is such function. How do I check?

Glad I could help. I can't work out why you'd want it on either.
