Question.. If the suspension is calibrated so as to soften the ride of the runflats some, what happens when we replace these with conventional tires? Does it become noticably softer again? Or just better overall, but with the same general feel?

my review of Kooks
I read all the posts. I researched the heck out of all the tires. I thought a long time about what I did. And I have to say, I couldn't be happier.
First, I bought the $300 space saver spare and the deluxe BMW jack kit. Also got a plug kit. Hated spending the money on all that, but it's very nice, very dialed-in. Then I replaced all four tires, even though they didn't need it. (I have the two fronts for sale with 8/32 on them here http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=418471) I put on Hankook Ventus V12's non-runflats. I went with the standard 245 in the rear but slightly larger up front, 225. I LOVE them. I was very concerned about a review I read that said they were 'floaty' so I put 39psi in them all around from the start. They are awesome. The car's understeer is very predictable now. The car is smoother, more fluid and more natural in turns. Yet the suspension feels just as stiff. Bottom line, they rock and I'll never go back. |
