Newbies
Hi people! I am new to this forum and would like to pop in and say hello.
I am about to put an order in for N55 135i. The dealer said that it will be till Sept before I can put my hands on to the car. Guess I will see you people more often on this forum. Cheers. Ken |

Welcome, mate From what we've heard (and seen) so far, the N55 is a fantastic engine and if exhaust note is your thing, sounds better than the N54 too (and that's my opinion only ) Got any specs on your order? Options etc.. See you around!! |

Ah yes, I remember being told September when I ordered in June. It was November 4 when I finally took delivery! Your other choice is to pick up one of the 2nd hand 135i's for a great price. A few members are selling theres at the moment (Swift135's would be a good buy IMO http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...209543&page=14) and unless you were desperate for a DCT tran it'd be a great car at a good price. I'm still not sold on anything but a MT myself, maybe that'll change, maybe it wont.

Yeh but you're the court jester so it makes up for it.
Congrats on your choice! Could you give some more details regarding the order?

Gratz on the car. I usually found delivery about 4 months after you order. Mine actually came in 3.5 months. Early March order, April build, and June delivery. It could be earlier if they have already ordered a car, but make it in time for a spec change.

Sounds like a good colour combo. Terra was the only other colour I was interested in.

Yeah agreed, Coral Red looks great with White or Black. Terra and the Grey should work very nicely indeed with SGM.
Yeah the N55 Exhaust is decidely "meatier" sounding. After I got mine I jumped back into the AC N54 Demo to confirm. Definately happy with the N55 exhaust changes. The DCT is Gods gift, if you do a lot of peak hour crawling (I do) its wonderful, really is the best of both worlds. Control & Laziness ;-) |

2003 156 SS - 2.0 Okay it lacked the longer punch - but man it was cool to down shift out of a corner and blast the freakin V8 sedan crew.
Plus the 4 door with handles in the door pillar made it look like a 2 door but function like the family sedan also very cool. Italian styling and balls to the wall engineering (typical Italian) traded for Germany engineered quality (HPFP issues aside), but the style is missing (bubble car) - perhaps the fun is accelerated by the DCT, I haven't been able to drive 1 yet though so i rely on this forum's feedback.
