BMS Intake
What is the general consensus on the BMS intake?
I'm wondering if its worth going from stock to a BMS dual cone intake? Its the cheapest after market option compared to say aFe. Would be interested to hear your experiences. |

I have a BMS intake for the N55 and it sounds great. I didn't notice any HP in the but dyno though

The gains on the road are helping the turbos spool freely, and your gonna need some freedom if you want to up the boost!
Cold air intakes will only give you really minimal gains on the dyno if any. And the gains are in acceleration more than anything, not power. I have the BMS and no probs at all with the cones. |

dont expect a difference in performance. But do expect a much different intake sound. You'll also hear the stock DVs venting louder than previously. At least thats what i experienced.
Having now also removed the shroud and fitting the cowl filters, the spooling/intake sound is very prominent in the cabin. |
