135i Tips and Tricks
Hi all,
I've just managed to get my hands on a 2011 DCT M-Sport 135i. Being new to the world of BMWs and performance cars in general, I'd like to get some tips and tricks, be it about maintenance, convenient/hidden features, driving tips, cleaning, tracking, car meets (in Melbourne), good repair shops (leaning toward Active Motorwerkes), etc, or anything else you wish you'd known when you first got one. Cheers, Rik. Edit: I've created this same thread in the general 1 series forums so if someone could delete this thread that would be great. Last edited by cozmicf; 12-06-2016 at 11:13 PM.. |

Yes they do but I'm starting to think they are tardy with their work. Had my trans worked on by them and I'm now taking it somewhere else to get a 2nd opinion will post back when I find the results. I'm also hearing some other horror stories around the traps of them attempting to fix things but making them worse.

Ok I'll be wary of Active Motorwerkes, but I've generally only heard positive things about them.
Thanks for that link to the Melbourne meet, I might head down to it. |

I have worked on a number of friend's cars and seen a lot of shoddy work, damage and stuff ups from Active Motorwerke that I've had to fix or point out to the owner.
One of my good friends was previously a customer at Active but no more: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=22

hold the unlock or lock buttons to open all windows or close them all, handy when you need to air out your car of hot air in summer or when you forgot to close one window
just a general thing for bmw's, but i believe its intention was to get in and out of the car in tight situations when you cant open the door?
