Noises after turning off car (not problems!!)

That is funny. Lucky the niece hadn't taken off yet. Think I'd rather have a key that you stick in a slot.

I hear these sounds all the time. Sounds like a fan wind down. Later a white, click.

Today I parked the car for a few min. Went inside & back into the garage. Car clicked, whirred. Like it was saying hello. No comfort access & no key in my pocket. Weird Car has a mind of its own. Lol!

So I went out to my car this morning and I somehow left my side indicators on through the night (battery dead of course) I got to connect with her on a more silent side. Boy does she make some noise when cycling systems! The noise from the behind the dash sounds like an old printer. Then there's the sound from the trunk. Also noises many minutes after the car begin completely off. I do have CA and had the key in the car

An old printer is the most accurate description I've heard

There is a noise that sounds like an air horn, but subdued. Figured it is the HVAC doors moving. If you use the A/C, the car will circulate hot water through the heater core after you shut it off to try and dry out the evaporator.

This is the exact reason why I slapped an Autobot emblem over the BMW badge in the rear. The car just has a life of its own!

I have had the gas cap code for over a year. I reset it a time or two and now just ignore it. But the car is quieter in the garage now. I think the evap pump is definitely noisy - and also a parasitic draw. If I could code out the indicator and leave the pump broken I would. The only thing is it does is to confirm there is no leak in the gas system. Cars operated for decades without such nonsense. I will probably eventually get it fixed. But the part is about $100 so it won't be cheap.
