1M has the N54 twin turbo

135i has the same engine until early 2010 when it got the updated single turbo N55 engine

I have a question for you guys


What's the closest exhuast setup you can put to make it sound like the 1m

I looking at a 2010 manual with 76k miles ?

Then a 2011 with 66k miles dct

If this is a toy car I would get the 6MT but that my opinion. I have a 12' DCT & if you drive it like a manual with an automated clutch it is great to DD & if you want to add more power you can always rebuild the trans with stronger clutches.

That 2010 135 will require some preventative maintenance IMO.

The dealer is saying they just replaced the clutch

I'm thinking maybe some new fluids new spark plugs

Ima check if the water pump has been replaced
Thermostat

I had a e90 before and I did that and it was running like champ up to like 98k miles

I can't comment too much on the difference between 09/10 cars, but I've still seen more issues with 2010's than 2011's. And any N54 will need walnut blasting.
