128i M Sport - Which auto transmission?
I'm interested in getting a 128i M Sport automatic. I've read that all 128i's came with the GM automatic transmission, but I have also seen a claim that the M sport with paddle shifters came with the ZF. Can anyone confirm if the paddle shift 128i has the GM or ZF trans?

To my knowledge they did not all come with GM transmissions, they also had German made transmissions. The GM made transmissions were made in France. The German of course in Germany. One of the two have black bottom pan, the other have metal colored pan. I checked mine out when I bought my 11 128i Mpac years ago. To the best of my recollection the black pans were French made GM's
