My 135i will trade off with my wife's '08 ML350 for our commute which is 45 miles of Bay Area congested freeway. The 1er will be the spicy pick-me-up traffic carver in between the ML cruising with us in supreme comfort and convenience.

During the Honeymoon, I'm already driving the 135i every excuse I can come up with. So, daily driver for a while, of course. Then I'll trade back and forth between the 135i and the Carrera S Cab. Holy Shit!... This is truly a slice of heaven!!

My 135i will be a daily driver, and that's great. I have some nice turns and a couple of world-class ramps on the way to the office.
But it also will be a daily parker -- and that's what worries me. This 135i door looks like a risky door for dings. My company has several parking lots, and there are only a few "safe" positions -- not under a tree, wider-than-normal parking slot, one side bounded by a fence or immovable object, etc. I now will be competing with the Corvette guy, the Lexus guy and the Monte Carlo rally anniversary model Mini guy for those spots. I may actually have to leave for work earlier....

That's the plan, though when it's really nice out and it's just me, I'm just as likely to take the Miata instead if I'm headed somewhere. If the fiancée is coming along, I'll take the BMW-- she doesn't like convertibles. [0] Which is the reason I'm in the market for a new daily in the first place.
'course, my commute is "grab a mug of coffee and stumble downstairs to the basement", but I do like me a good road trip so I'll still put a pile of miles on the car... -F [0] Yes, I know that means she's certifiable. On the other hand, she's nuts enough to marry me, so I ain't complaining... |

Well, if and when I get the 135i, it will be my daily driver, unless I want to drive a 15 foot box truck to work everyday that gets 10mpg. I would like to keep my Sonoma, but I will have to sell it to get the 1'er.
Just added my new avatar of my Noma....no bashing guys !!!! |

The 1er will not be my daily driver. I will be driving my Dodge Caliber on a daily basis. I will be TRYING to only drive the 1er on nice days and weekends. But as far as going to work every day and traveling or going to the city. It will be the caliber....
