I have cupholders. 5 of them and I never got any Storage Compartment Package. (Two in the front, one in the center consol and two in the rear armrest)

Perhaps the other thing it includes is the boot tray thing?

And I think it would also add the seat nets to the 4pot models!?

In the US, the rear cupholders are standard, I believe. Isn't THAT a surprise! But the "Storage Compartment Package" is not an option on the BMWUSA website or the US brochure.

Sorry, LHD European cars need the Storage option to get cupholders

The boot tray is part of the Luggage compartment package

The BMWUSA Accessories brochure for the E90 (page 33) shows an Electric Cooler/Carrier, part number 82 29 9 415 579.

Here is the intersting bit. The illustration shows the cooler sitting behind the driver’s seat, plugged into one of the rear seat power outlets. Maybe the power outlets come with the cooler! I am asking my dealer.

This USA brochure does NOT show the "Storage Compartment Package", but does show a "Storage Compartment Module" which replaces the ski-bag and provides two quite small compartments, and makes no mention of anything outside the armrest.

The "Storage Compartment Module" is a dealer fitte option

The Storage Compartment package is a factory fitted option

Nothing comes with the coolerbag but the cooler bag. They just used the European picture in the brochure

The power plug on the cooler looks quite large. Plugging it into the socket under the armrest may mean the armrest has to be at least partially open to accomodate the plug. And I don't think there is a groove to allow the cord to exit the armrest without it being elevated a little, even if the plug will fit.

And when I have an iPod plugged into the AUX socket and into the power socket, I guess that kills the cooler idea.

If they were European, they would have clear headlights

Inresting, my 330i has the rear nets on the seats (US), no power outlets. My interior is grey, don't know if all grey seats came with nets.
