Colorado Meet
I would like to set up a meet in colorado, anyone have suggestions for dates/locations?
A Driday night I think would work best, or we could meet at a track like: - Pueblo motorsports park - Bandimere speedway (this prob. wouldn't be a friday night) I think we should keep it near denver or in the springs as that is where most of us live. |

I'm down. I would be willing to go to Denver if that's where it was. Meeting at a track would sure be some fun though..I vote track.

A meet would be fun. We'd have to see how many people would be interested in tracking their car. Of course, my car still needs to get here...

I'd be up for it. I still would like to get some 1/4 mile times at Bandimere - but I'd do a track day as well.
BTW - I just ordered a Gtech-Pro to get a rough idea of what I'm at for 0-60 and 1/4 mile. |

I should have mine by this Friday. Then there's the break-in. So we could always meet at the Sonic off C470 and W Ken Caryl then do a mountain road drive. Just a thought.

It's scheduled to get to Port Hueneme on 6/24. I'm guessing I'll get it around two weeks after that.

I just did ED, took me a little under 2 weeks from heuneme and there was bird crap that ate through my clearcoat - look at every inch of your paint, our cars are not covered on the docks in hueneme.

Ouch. That's not what I like to hear. I guess the VPC doesn't do anything if the clearcoat has been damaged.

I originally suggested meeting at pueblo motorsports park, but it sounds like you have to have some type of scca or equivalent license to get on the track, plus a helmet and fees, etc. so unless there is very high interest in this, might be better just to pick a spot in Denver.
I suggest someplace in souther greater denver, maybe centennial. Anyone else interested? |

The crap ass detailers at Ralph Schomp used a high speed buffer on my brand new paint as part of their "prep" work.
I fail to see the need for a buffer on brand new paint. I can see where they burned the clear coat and created swirls instead of removing them. Other then that and the wait everything turned out fine.

Hey folks, I moved from Denver recently, and had spent some time working with a few local folks to establish a non brand specific European enthusiast group.
They have weekly get-togethers and occasionally head up to Bandimere or or down to PMP together. Check them out, http://www.union1609.com -- mostly VW/Audi folks, but a growing number of BMW / Mini / Volvo folks and I'm sure they'd love to have some 1er owners in their ranks and grace their get-togethers. I'd definitely be at their meets with my 1er if I still lived in CO.

I would be down. I am getting 1,000,000,000,000,000 compliments on this car. How cool would it be to get a bunch of them together....
One thing I plan to do is Bimmer Burger night over at the sonic close to me (Smoky Hill and Tower basically.) This is probably not convenient for most of you, but I am going to be there. This is on the night of 7/30 I think.

BMW CCA
Yeah, I belong to the Rocky Mountain chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. They have "Bimmer Burger Nights" around the area every so often so Bimmerphiles can get together/socialize/ogle each other's cars.
Heres the chapter website... http://www.rmcbmwcca.org Heres the link to BBN planning docs... http://www.rmcbmwcca.org/Documents/b...rger_night.pdf Cheers J

Very cool. I was planning on joining the BMW CCA at some point. Looks like there is a meet near my house as well.

Agreed. It's still a sleeper to most. Most just assume that's it's just another BMW. Haha.
