Suspension and stickier tires would definitely help you out.

Dunlop Z1SS, Bridgestone RE11, Yokohama AD08, Hankook RS3, Toyo R1R are all great tires to look into.

Are you having this problem just driving around under normal driving conditions? Or when your doing a run from a stop light, or at the drags..?

I just got to Vegas and it is VERY slippery here on mostly all roads. Not sure why. I was on the highway yesterday doing the posted 65 and a TT wanted to play. I dropped it down into third, punched it and my rear slid out (very gently tho). Tried some decent acceleration from stop lights and the same thing happened. I thought it was my tires being toast but after checking them they still have a way to go. Wierd.

I just installed the SSTT2 and am definitely hating the lack of traction. I just want to go fast. I'm really getting sick of our E diff. I think I'll get an lsd if I keep the 1 past warranty.

Weird indeed. I find, in various cars over the years, as my tires have less tread, they have BETTER traction on hot dry pavement like what's in Vegas.

On hot and dry roads tread has less grip, at least that's my experience with regular NON RFT tires.

I got rid of my RFT's last weekend. I do NOT miss them.

Is 255 the widest you can go on stock rims?

I just installed a JB+ last week. That combined with brand new Hankook V12's and a slightly cooler climate has increased my wheel slip a lot.

There's a nice little feature called 'traction control'... most modern cars have it ...
if your wheels spin the way you're telling it, either you have it turned off, or it's defect... In the latter case, see your dealer (and have your HPFP checked while you're at it )...

Of course, if you think you're the street version of Juan-pablo montoya, get some decent tires. I'm still on RFT, too. The other day I had to brake for a rabbit, not enourmously hard, but a bit harder than usual, and I could feel the ABS working ... I'll switch to Dunlop SportMaxx (and a tire glue kit ) after these RFT...

275's fit on the ARC-8 wheels. they are an 18x9.5" wheel. technically a 285 could be made to fit. but 275 seems to bolt up without any modification to the car.

im gonna try changing the tires, get rid of these RFT's first.
See how it is.
it just first gear it spinns all the way through.
Maybe ill lower the 1st gear torque output on the PROcede for now.

My Toyo R1R's are very sticky. You really have to work to get the tires to spin. They are by far the stickiest tire I have ever run...

There's an easy and simpler method to lower torque than by going into the programming. It's called "throttle control".
Oh, and "traction control", that's built in.

What pressure are you running your tires at?
Have you checked them lately?

I see you are in NY? I'm sure it's getting cold there as it is here in Chi town. The summer ONLY RFT's do NOT have good adhesion when temps drop below 40F, and get worse the colder it gets. In the other direction, 50F isn't so great either for a summer tire especially when cold, like sitting overnight or for a few hours.

You should get tires for the type of weather you are driving in.
If you don't want all season tires, then you'll have to go with winter tires.
I like all seasons, so I went with Conti DWS.
The other thing you could try, after you get the AS or winter tires, lower the tire pressure on the days when you need more traction and will not be driving very fast.

i had my first tire spin yesterday. From auto D drive. It was at a light. i made a right on Red and i peeled off by stepping on 1/4 the gas pedal.
