No HPFP failure or long cranks
Third Brake light cracked at first freeze in december, no repeat crack through the winter.
One SES light due to a misfire on one of the real deep freeze nights mid-trip on the highway (misfire was a self-diagnosis based on the vibrations when i came to a stop. Turned off the car, it self-corrected. Service rep told me they can search for codes but they need two misfire codes to go searching apparently, so he suggested i not let them look yet since they'd have to clear it and wait for two more misfires. In anycase, it runs great still with no recurrance).
No tune or mods yet, will be autocrossing 15-20 times this year.

had one instance where the car ran rough (reduced power) last summer for one afternoon. Fixed itself the next day. Was fine before and has been fine ever since. Had my passenger side mirror glass fall out but has been problem free otherwise.

My 2010 135i, 6mt, msport, 5K miles (12/09 build) is currently in the service bay

Brought it in to get the tranny checked (1st gear issue) and they got a long crank, flashed it and now waiting overnight to see if they need to replace the pump. My SA said that my 'vert DOES NOT need the case reviewed by BMW...they only have to do that with coupes. So in the morning, if the crank is long, I'll be getting a new pump.

other issues I've had is the buzzing in the back (only once so far. My '08 328i did it half a dozen times). Cell interference in the drivers door speaker (iphone switching towers seems to do it). And, of course, my 1st gear that spontaneously switches to neutral on occasion.

yippee!

I think one has only to look at that HPFP petition to see that its not that huge of a problem. The online petition only has like what 400 people signed up. And that includes all x35i models!!! So... I just do not think the HPFP is a big deal. yes, sure some have gone thru thier fair share of pumps... but on a whole... I do not think it affects a large percentage of the cars built.

Sunoco 93 most fillups
A few long cranks every so often.
Felt sluggish for a while (turbo lag?), but I ran the BMW fuel injector cleaner through a tank of gas and now it seems more peppy.
Soft top replacement under warranty.
Loud radio noise once when engine was off and no key in ignition.
No other mechanical issues.

It's not as if posting that you do have an HPFP problem will jinx it to repair itself.

Bzzzt. lol. I suppose my post lacks relevance without the following supporting detail:

I didn't have a problem with my long cranks...my dealer did. They jumped on it like it was their job, or something. My HPFP was not broken, but replaced nonetheless.

Wow. Now that's interesting.
Proactive. I hate that word in meetings. It's nice to see someone actually implementing it though.
