Lucked out and snagged a dealer allocation with a June build - have a production number in 112 status with July delivery expected. $5K deposit for MSRP + a very small ADM (< $1K).

Not sure? I'm still trying to figure this all out but someone with a 6/19 build date backed out and when I put my deposit down on 6/31 when we changed the color to VO the system would not let the dealer keep that date, so we got the next one available - 8/31. CA said status would change to 111 or 112 once we got closer to August. But who knows.

I'm considering putting down a deposit, but have a few questions:

1. Did everyone nail down a price/terms at or before the time they put down the deposit?

2. My dealer is talking MSRP or above. Is that consistent with most others' deals?

Hi to everyone,

I'm new to this forum and thus introducing myself: greetings from Belgium !

Previously drove an E46 M3 manual and currently own an E46 M3 SMGII. Finally got the chance to driving stick again on an M car later this year: one of the 41 1M artefacts allocated to Belgium. As with my previous M cars I did not test drive the 1M: the unisono rave reviews say it all (and, furthermore, I doubt there's one around for a test drive over here anyway).

Ordered with €5K down - Valencia Orange with all possible boxes ticked on the options list - mid June build - at dealer mid July - taking delivery in September (courtesy deal with dealer: he's only entitled to two allocations and, understandably, wants to keep my 1M in the showroom for 2 months for potential customers' drooling purposes ...and I can resist ).

No downgrading, as IMHO the 1M is a worthy next generation E46 M3. Definitely looking forward to enjoying this new true M breed.
