Who owns all the 1ms we see in test drives?

Do all these fine vehicules that are beeing tested at launchs and in magazines belong solely to bmw and who will become final owner of them? I meen with such a supposedly limited run , doesnt it seem like a lot of 1ms are beeing thrashed around everywhere at once!!???

They will either be sold at auction or dismantled due to not meeting specific regulations due to them being press vehicles.

No, they are press vehicles. Most press vehicles never see the light of day afterwords.

They arent the same as final production versions.

They have manual controls for AC, no headlight washers, and the inside of the trunk and hood/fenders isnt even painted. Thats just what I saw in 5 mins of looking at them.
