Help: Engine Light Malfunction Light

Was driving around generally beating up on the car. I did a U-Turn and all of a sudden my car threw the half engine light "Engine Malfunction". I have a JB3, DCI, and Synapse BOV.

My JB3 is set to Map 3 and the car would not go over 4psi boost when I floor it. Turned the car off and when I start it up and floor it the light would come back on. There is no shaking or anything.

Any ideas?

did you hear a pop sound? Could be boost leak. Check the codes.

Thanks for the reply Enrita. It happened when I took that gnarly U-Turn. I checked all the boost lines minus the intercooler and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. I have a JB4 on the way so I can read any codes and see whats going on. I was hoping I could get ideas from people who have had experience with this kind of deal.

How fast were you doing the U-turn? Were you giving it lots of gas?

In a very extreme case, doing a sharp turn while going full throttle could lead to oil starvation since all the oil in the oil pan shifted to one side. It has happened to someone on here but it was on a track and the engine just flat out exploded. I doubt this happened to you but it's the only connection that I can think of in terms of a U-turn and the engine.

I gunned it.. let off the gas.. turned.. and powered out of it, so maybe not as gnarly as I make it out to be. It happened right after. Well, 56k miles on the clock.. something was bound to happen...
