I understand you can't say anything about who this dealer will be. But do you have any insight as to when they'll be up and running?

I think folks are patient -- up to a point

Can you still use old maps if you buy an AP afterwards? Or are you preset on V4 maps?

the V4 is on beta right now so officially the V3 maps are still available.

But I am not sure if you can get older maps once the V4 is officially out.

I had the aggressive map on yesterday and the big "lump" of torque is great for a laugh :d. But long term I think my car will thank me to opt for the smoother map for everyday driving.

I will keep the v3 maps on file any how

Could someone with the Cobb tune clarify something for me, please?

As I understand it, when you first buy the Cobb tune, you download the standard software from your car and send it to them. They then send you back a modified version, that's unique to your car, that you then load via the OBD port. Right?

Assuming the is right, how do these new versions work? If they have to send you a unique version for you car to start with, how does a generic update work?

I still get that same feeling but better - need to drive it more on the way home. Too much traffic to test out the new map this morning!

You can try Linear throttle aggressive?

Nah the only reason why we send our ROM to them is because is not in their database yet, is not unique to your car more like is unique to your ECU. So if your ECU is the same as mine or ansch you don't even need to do that!

Everytime there is an update the COBB AP will get the latest map that correspond to your ECU.

Got it! Thanks for clarifying. And does the ECU verision tell them what fuel we have available? Or is that something different again?

Do you pay for the updates, or is it free after you buy the unit?

Well for each stage you have 6 different maps

Stock Throttle - drive, sport and aggressive
Linear Throttle - drive, sport and aggressive

You choose either drive, sport and aggressive depending on your fuel quality.

Drive and Sport are 91 which is our 95 RON and Aggressive is 93 which is our 98 RON.

No need to pay for any additional updates, everything is free that is why is so good

you already pay 7-800 hundred on their access port... if they made you pay for updates that'd be the biggest extortion possible!
