dang.. i should have waited for these.. I just settled for a different weighted, lightup shift knob..
During install, when you guys tap into the wire in the center console, (most likely the cig jack wire), remember to disconnect the battery first.. Actually, when you guys do ANY electrical install, disconnect the battery first.. I learned this the hard way and now the airbag light and seatbelt light is on my dash. I think I need a BT cable to delete it.. Besides that, this knob will look great. |

I was bugging Jason to get these a few months ago as well as giving my local dealer some nudging after them being unsuccessful to get a part # haha Does anyone know if we can remove the "leather" boot and use our 1M's Alcantara boot?? |

I cant imagine it being too bad anyways considering (if memory serves me right) you need to remove the factory boot from the knob by releasing (or sometimes breaking) the little plastic tabs. |

Hm, someone during transport between the Leipzig factory and dealership confused the iDrive knob with the gear shift knob ? "For crying out loud, a new ///M car and already a faulty iDrive, tsk-tsk-tsk".

Btw guys... since we are talking about the lighted 1M shifter... Did you know on the ECE(German spec cars) that the light inside the shifter does not work! Some of my German friends were telling me they had to have their car's coded to US specs to have that M shifter light come on!!! I thought that was weird.

I'm seriously one click away from snagging this!
Should we ask Tischer to run a GB, I reckon there should be enough interest, especially if done on the 1-series board to include all 1-series owners.

I'll do a groupbuy.
If we can't get this going two weeks from now, I will just order at full price.
