The M4 is my next car, in 2 years. By that point, I'll have had my 135 for 8 years, 8 glorious years. I have never held onto a car for so long (except my Jeep, but that's a different story).

But there will always be something faster than you on the road.

I wonder if that M4 is even broken in yet? I've always read long term magazine tests getting more than .5 seconds off the 0-60 times at the end of 10-15k as compared to when the car was brand new.

That's true, but that's not everything. I'm happy with my 135i and I'm keeping it till I die! It's fast enough for me. Hell, it's perfect for me! How fast do you need/want to go anyway? I'll probably never have an ///M car and I don't think I really care. Sure, I admire them. I admire lots of expensive cars and the M4 IS expensive. To each his own. As long as your happy.

You can see the m4 let off.... Is everyone blind you can see the m4 nose dive towards the end of the video where "the 135i pulls on him"

Not even close - while the M4 engine is a twin-turbo, it's design is new, and is 425 flywheel HP stock versus 300 for the N54; tuned, it will produce well over 500 HP. Also, if you read about the M4, you'll find that it weighs about as much as a 135i due to some serious weight-reduction that went into the overall design when so many customers complained about the E9x M-cars being too heavy.

I think jockey was saying your exact sentiments.

FBO stock turbos 135i on Meth and E85 with BB flash has no problem keeping up/beating a F10 M5 from a roll. So your statement is invalid.

How does anything you posted invalidate his claim?

I'd love to know what you're smoking...you're comparing to a car that weighs over 1,000 pounds more. My statement was about the new M4 with 425 hp (conservatively rated, probably more like 450) weighing the same, so YOUR statement is completely off-base.

For that matter, an Ariel Atom with a 4-cylinder engine can run off and hide from ANY 135, modified or not. Same thing with a coyote-engined Mustang. It's all about vehicle weight and gearing, not raw power.

Mustang can't keep up. Atleast the 5.0 next to me couldn't keep up to 130.

Understand, what this video^ illustrates is: .., is the differences in BMW's technology & engineering and/or applied theories on the same 6block.

I own a 135is.. (an anomaly in mich) & at cruising speeds I like to bounce open stretches of land.
I those moments some anxious/obnoxious like to try their luck.. not knowing, or understanding.. but, I'm getting thumbs-up from all types.
Sometimes I don't always win..(as neither horse is freakishly pushing it.)... but the mere fact that I am playing.. (?)

So..
Out in the open & on a cold night and an allowance for moAr breathing... U torture anything in it's path. How it's tuned and what tq:wght each have? Is just physics... & 0bviously for most, it just depends on what YOU want to wrap around those phgysics.. ..what sheetmetal do you prefer..? What tune?

"What type of music.. do you want to feel. ..what journey r u going on..? Any zeal.. "

Coincidentally, BMW has limited what these engines can do, & anything like a little moAr breathing, or COOLING. can make a big diff.

We will see further evidence of this in the upcoming M2 (N55).
(MoAr videos of the M2.5 R, plz..)
