Interesting color combo, certainly different. I thought maybe they'd show it with top up too, though I bet it's a black top (vs red, which would likely be too much red).

12k Miles

Hit 12,000 miles this morning on my way to work. And while I tried to take it right at 12k at a red light, between awful glare from the sun and traffic, I played it safe for once and took the pic when I parked.

What's sad is only 7 months left on my lease. How time flies.

Oooo how lucky someone is going to be if you decide to actually turn in the 135is and they are the lucky ones to purchase it Greg. Congrats on the milestone.

I'm still like 75% sure I'll buy it out and keep it for awhile, heck, I'd keep it forever if I could afford to, cause I know I'd always miss it and regret ever letting it go, but will be interesting to see how things play out.

Considering I've added the performance suspension, performance rotors, performance pedals, a set of PSS, and most importantly, the trunk luggage mat liner thingy, someone might be getting one hell of a car one day (know a few on here who are already in line), or someone may accidentally get some extra goodies unbeknownst to a dealer who may sell it down the road.

Hah, the first thing i'd do if i ever sat in that car is rip out the stupid fashionista emblem and burnt it. Not too bad in white otherwise....
The US equivalent would be the 118 zoolander limited edition.

I'll try to get a part number for the fashionista emblem and get that installed on one of your cars. Perhaps the wife's "kingpin" white on white one.

Luckily, with my white mesh, brown leather d-bag driving gloves on, I don't a plaque that says fashionista, everyone knows it just by looking at me.

You can haul it...and her from the back of your 2-series active tourer. =)

What's funny is I was about to make a comment about how that may not even be her car and she's just walking by, until I realized it's a RHD car.

I'd like to introduce her to my M driving gloves...which TOTALLY don't stand for murder. O=| Maybe they're W gloves.

Ha! Do you actually use them ever? They any good?

I don't know why I want one of these old school euro trash d-bag looking driving gloves, but i do! Just really expensive. If anyone would like to buy them for me though, got a birthday coming up, think I'll go with...cognac with natural string? Will have to measure for my size.

Good! Cause maybe I'm taking the scenic route on my way to see Pagliacci or La Boheme! Also gives me a chance to try out these new antique opera glasses I got at an estate sale with mother of pearl telescoping handle!

That's funny! Tell him he should totally send me a pair then in the cognac and I'll promote them on here. =) hahaha. They make some cool watches and I remember reading about his story on jalopnik awhile back as well. Sounds like a cool guy and great story behind the company, too.

The marketing video for those gloves was just really well done and makes you want to drop whatever you're doing and go drive as fast as humanly possible, or buy a 60's ferrari/maserati/etc. Cheaper for me to just buy the gloves, even though he'll be sending me a pair for free....right? Right?!

That 118i is a RHD car because its an exclusive for Japan. Interesting that they didn't choose a Japanese girl for the ad.

Our thread is about to hit page 2! Anyway, here's a free bump with a funny little tale.

As I was leaving home yesterday at 6 in the morning, this mother and her (what I think is) 3-4 year old kid were walking along the sidewalk in front of my house. The mother stopped to text/check her phone a few feet behind my car. This just happened in quick succession...pushed button to start, car was louder than usual, kid cried, the mom was mouthing out curses, got off the car and apologized to the kid directly, and off I went...

Why do I feel so bad that I made a kid cry but also feel good that I annoyed that lady? Perhaps because the kid was a good kid stuck to her mom and didn't wander off. On the other hand, the mom acted a bit too aggressively given her kid's presence. Not to mention, she pulled out the line "don't think you're better than the rest of us just because you drive a bimmer!" as I went back into the car. It would've been an entirely different story if she didn't have the mouth of a sailor.

We have the power to make kids cry...and tick parents off along with it.

hmmm, sour mouthed indeed - maybe you should have asked her (between her profane outbursts): "hey, do you kiss your kid with that mouth??"

She'll get over it and maybe the kid will remember the experience and turn into an enthusiast.....that'd piss mom off for sure

Seriously, the nerve to curse in front of your child. It's wrong, it shows a parent's indecent side to the kid, the kid may pick up the habit, and the parent will ultimately blame other people for the kid's new habit. I'm not a parent but isn't it a parent's job to try and keep yourself respectable in front of your kid...so your kid respects you?

She could've simply attacked me for being irresponsible or being a jerk/whatever. Instead, she went ahead and attack numerous other parts of my identity with a bunch of false assumptions too.

If her kid does become an enthusiast, I'll be happy knowing that my little blue car opened up a whole new world for that kid.

In other news, I saw a Huracan at Beverly Hills last night. That thing really does pop and burble! I wish the 1's burbling is at least as half as audible as the Huracan's. It's like a louder version of our car's overrun pops but it's not annoying like the ones in a fully catless, modded to the max, fire breathing, etc. found in Supra's, STi's, R34/33/32 GT-R's, Evo's. The lambo's DCT is very aggressive from the way I heard it shift at least when compared to pedestrian dct/dsg/pdk cars like ours.

Bama335, how does the 135is compare to the Z4-35is?

sounds like a shitty parent!

you accomplished a lot in a small timeframe----made a kid cry, pissed off the mum, and had florid vitriol spewed towards you! Well done I say!!!
