Miltek exhaust

Hi there

I have been offered a miltek primary cat back system.
the only reason I really want to fit this exhaust is for sound.

Would the car need a remap after the exhaust is fitted or will there be any error messages?

Any help or advice would be great.

Thanks
David

That's great. Thanks for the help.

Would it make a difference if it's a resonating or non resonating?

I bought my car with a resonated milltek system the previous owner put on.

It sounded nice.. louder than stock, but not "exciting" enough for me.

I ended up getting a new connecting pipe made up without the resonator at a reputable local muffler place (It was cheaper than buying the part from Milltek, and I didn't have to wait weeks to get it ..)

Sounds amazing now, it's pretty loud but I wouldn't say obnoxious once the car is warmed up.

Be warned - cold starts in the morning are LOUD and obnoxious

In performance, little to none.

In sound, yes. With a resonated system it will make it more berable on the motorway in regards to the drone but when you go wot it will still sound beautiful.

I ran a full catless system and that was so loud, especially on startup, but it wasn't to bad when driving on the motorway, you just had to find the sweet spot. recently I just went and put a resonated section in and the loud rasp on start up has gone and the motorway driving is even better. It's a little bit quieter on WOT and not as many burbles but it's much better for everyday use in my opinion.
