Objectively, don't you think they only look good because they're so rare? That yellow dash is horrid, IMO, and that wheel with a strip of wood inlaid around it must be nasty to hold.

Yeah, but that's beige, not yellow. I believe we dislike the yellow Individual one in the photo above because of the yellow centre console, which the beige dash doesn't get (fortunately!)

Paul is right,
I believe all individual interiors get the centre console in the color of the lower dash.. Standard models all have the black centre console, even the dark red Individual interior has got the centre console in dark red..

That's not correct...

Standard beige interior has beige center console

Standard grey interior has grey center console...

Only Black, Lemon and Terra have black center console with standard leather option.

Same applies to this part.... It's just black completly when you don't have i-drive/gps.... Would be the same with individual interior... Nothing to do with the interior color...

With I-Drive/GPS the dash around the radio is beige or grey with standard beige/grey interior... And black all the time if you don't have GPS/I-drive...

Actually I was not completly right... only the part around the air conditioning unit is beige with beige interior and I-Drive... But not the bottom part...

Look at the part around the dvd-drives in these pics, you'll see that it's beige in the first pic and dark red in the 2nd pic..

This is what the lemon looks like in natural diffused daylight. I have no idea why BMW chose to call it lemon, because it just isn't (see my lemon avatar <<< if you need reminding of what a lemon looks like

) Under artificial lighting and/or direct sunlight, it does appear slightly more yellow, but most of the time it looks more like the ivory leather you can order on luxury sports cars like Aston Martin or Jaguar. This photo is an accurate representation of what my interior looks like most of the time.
