need advice on offset

hey guys, would a 17x8 ET34 wheel with 205-50-17 tires look bad on a 1 series? I'm wondering if it will stick out too much... tirerack does have one of their recommended 17" winter package use a +35 offset (borbet LV) so I'm thinking if the rack does it it must not be too bad... car is all stock (sport pkg 128i).

I ran my BBS RKs (17x8 ET35, 235 40 tires) for awhile but they just didn't look right on the 135i. No rubbing issues at all. As much as I liked the RKs on the ///M3 they just don't do it on the 1.
