Walnut Blasting! - Michigan - Group Event

To All in Michigan and the surrounding areas that is interested:

Turn In Concepts has offered to do a group event in the Metro Detroit area for walnut blasting on 135 and 335 vehicles. For those that are , please read this extremely thorough walnut shell blasting thread with pictures. If you have an N54, especially one with 50k+ miles, it's highly advised.

Pending we can find a suitable location to host this event, Kent and Tony from TIC would make the trip up here with all necessary tools and do the service over a weekend. We'd start Saturday AM and if needed also have slots on Sunday. It takes approximately 2-ish hours per car with Kent breaking down bays for Tony to blast. In addition, anyone with a leaky oil filter housing gasket is in luck as this is the best time to replace that as it requires most of the intake manifold to be disassembled anyways.

Turn In Concepts is offering us Michiganders special pricing depending on group size:

- Pricing starts at $350 for 5-8 jobs.
- 8+ jobs will be discounted to $300 a piece.
- $100 Deposit required per job.

For those with Oil Filter Housing Issues: "We will bring OFH gaskets with us. If it is leaking and you would like to have it done at the same time as the Walnut Blast then add an additional $75 for parts and labor (Typically $100) this is highly recommended to be done at the same time due to the requirement of removing the intake system."

Tentative Dates are as follows: August 24th or September 7th.

Other notes:
- TIC would cover all expenses of the trip (gas, lodging etc.)
- TIC would require a nice size shop with a large air compressor. All other tools needed would be brought with them. *Currently working on this, if you know of a location, please PM me*

We need a minimum of 5 and I'm on that list so only 4 more to make this happen. Remember, a $100 deposit will be required to prevent no shows, so you can be rest assured when we get 5 deposits and a suitable location, it is happening.

Just saw this(I don't check the local forums all that often). Was there ever any interest in this? I've been lazy about getting this done, but for a good deal and locally done, I might just pull the trigger. I see you're in Birmingham by the way. I'm just over in the 16 mile/Livernois area, so anywhere local would be good with me. Feel free to just pm me if there is something actually set up for this.
