Recommendation for repair alloy scratch, minor body scratch

Hi Guys,

Long story short, it has been a bad week for my 1er. Had a couple of alloys scratched (one's pretty severe), a small scratch to the front bumper and to top everything off, a colleague put a small ding on the passenger door.

Any recommendations on where to go to get these fixed?

Included photos bleow.

Thanks

Any custom wheel shop in your area should be able to recommend how to repair and refiinish the wheels. Ditto for a detailing shop on the paint. Ask around, check out what kind of cars they work on.

I have got some picture in my blog

http://taka-135.blogspot.com/2009/07...repair-ou.html

Smart guy can do all... dent, scratch and wheel repair....!!

Are you in Melbourne?

If so the best place to repair the wheel is Wheel Solution down Richmond area. Matt takes the tyre out and paints the whole wheel properly. I am experience in kerbing the wheel now hahaha

The bumper can be fixed by auto paint fix. See if they do the dent as well.

If not dent doctor can do it.

But for simpicity sake... go for smart guy coz they can do all.

How much are the membership fees? Seems like you have to become a member first before they do anything.

I had a look at how they did it. First they use an angle grinder to smooth the rough edges and then use some sort of filler to fix the defects. Next, they cover all of the panels with paper and masking tape before spray-painting the wheel. The drying/curing of the paintjob is completed with a mobile UV light/heater. The whole job took about 1 hour to finish. I didn't take before and after shots but I was pleased with the job, can't tell where the damage was originally.

I asked the bloke about minor dents in the panels, and apparently they can fix these [I]almost[I] perfectly, but not as good of course as having the car taken to a panel beaters. Naturally, it is much cheaper, $200 Vs a couple of thousand.

I actually got the membership through the dealership protection package option, so i'm afraid I can't answer this question. Might be best to give them a call. You don't need to be a member for them to fix your car, but it will cost more if you aren't a member. For the rim fix, it is $55 for members, and around $150-200 for non members.
