Suggestions for a quality luxury wagon?
Hello,
I'm looking for a quality 2nd hand luxury wagon for the old man. looking to spend about $30k-$35k Doesn't need to be power packed - maybe an MY06 320i/323i Touring ? Any suggestions? Cheers.

Could get a 2 year old Mazda6 with the luxury spec for that price. Although it's possible luxury spec was only available on the sports hatch models. Don't know if you consider the Mazda6 to be quality but we have one and it's excellent.

Subaru Liberty 3.0R Spec B Wagon
2007/2008 got a pretty agressive update which should be in that price range now. I drove the MY06 and that was very impressive. If I wanted a luxury wagon it would be an Audi RS4 (either TT or V8), whilst pricing is still high I'd be happy with the Spec B Liberty. |

Or a C3 Passat wagon?
Probably trades off a little class for a bit more size compared to the A4 or 3er wagon but both the V6 and the TDI go quite well and drive nicely, the V6/DSG combo in particular. I certainly think the Passat will ride better than the 3er and certainly the A4 (crashy in my view), so if ride and size are important than I think it worth a look. I'm guessing a 06/07 would be in your price range or thereabouts |

There's a whole tonne of MY06 A4 Avants going for about mid to high 30s. Secure a good private deal and you could probably do with just over 30k.
Another alternative would be the Volvo V50, spotted this MY07 with the 2.5L Turbo for 34k. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=1269913FD706

I'm going to have to say Alfa 159 Sport wagon. It's drop dead gorgeous (imo) and a pretty good package for the money. Although i may be a little biased (own 2 Alfa's).
At the very least, take one for a test drive. I guarantee you will be surprised |

being a nissan bitch, here's my input .
its old, but still cool and damn fast. stagea 260RS = skyline GTR wagon :P http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...s=50&silo=1011 or the more modern stagea with a v6 turbo engine. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...s=50&silo=1011

might as well get an old E-class from which the 300C is based off.

Couldn't find many BMW touring in the price range which is reasonably new and low ks. I must have a bug looking at carsales now since my recent excursion on looking for a LR. .

The Subaru Liberty is definitely worth considering or the Passat or for that real wagon feel, one of these....
