HELP PLEASE Change HU with optical

Please I have wreck my head on this results not too good on search Google etc.

I have a HU with Harman Kardon system that uses Optical cable. No navigation and I want to add a HU with Navi that has an optical out or which can be fitted to complement the Harman Kardon. Any advice appreciated.

All navigationsystems (business and professional) are equipped with MOST (optical connector).

IF you change the HU to an aftermarket one... you won't be able to have a dealer perform any SW updates anymore.

I am looking too for you. I don't see a standalone MOST bus adapter for BMW.
The main problem is the head unit is the one that creates the light signal and acts as the gateway to the rest of the infotainment modules. I don't know how other manufacturers do it. Maybe this is why you can buy kits for Porsche and Merc but not BMW?
