Also, mine didn't come with a bracket so I did what others are doing and got 3M Double Sided Tape and just taped it down. It works great. Holds very firm and cushions so there's no rattle.

You still have to get this coded at the dealership to make it work, right? Let us know how this works out.

I already order the bracket online without thinking about the velcro option. Opps... Also i am following an old thread here with the install instructions and acording to them there is no dealer coading needed. Just the correct fiber optic cable configuration. On my phone right now, can't attach a link...

No coding required. Just swap the most cable according to the install guide. I did this in mine without any dealer coding. The radio/iDrive will automatically recognize it when the MOST senses it.

Pnosker;
Thanks for the autowreker shortcut. The receiver arrive yesterday and install was very easy with the install instructions. As per instructions no dealer coading required. Best part the receiver has a paid suscription till June 2012.

No problem. I lucked out that way too. Make sure to transfer the sub over and remove the current owner's CC from the account so you can continue it. If they call before you do that they can cancel and it will just end your sub now.

Glad to hear it worked out, and bonus on the subscription too! If anyone knows where I can get my hands on one, it would be appreciated. I called around to various salvage yards and they said the Sirius receiver is hard to come by.
