Winter storage questions
I plan to store my 128i this winter. I've never put a car in storage before. Just have couple of questions for those who have done it before.
If I take the battery out, does the car need to be re-program when I install the battery back in? What kind of battery charger do you need to keep the battery charged during winter? If I store the car with battery installed and start the car once a week, would that be OK? Thanks in advance.

Get a "trickle charger". Ctek makes some good ones for under $100.
Change the oil before and after you store the car. Over inflate the tires and get some fuel stabilizer for the gas. Do a search on storing a car. You will find many tips. |

Good tip on the oil. You can kill your engine if you don't do this. What kind of environment is the car going to be stored in? Outdoor temperatures or heated room temp?
